For the guys at ADCO,
If I bought a Gemtech GSG-5 SBR drop-in barrel that has the 1/2x28 threads, is there any way you can re-thread the barrel 3/8x24? If so, could you cut my SWR Warlock QD 1/2x28 mount down and re-tap it 3/8x24? I've seen the mount cut & re-tap on the web, but I don't know about the barrel? I'd like to have the QD as short as possible, the 1/2x28 QD mount sticks out too far from the end of the barrel for my liking. I have the "first style" Gemtech adapter that threads into the FSB, but it looks crooked and I can't get my YHM Mite QD mount off of it. I sure like the other barrel threadings you've done for me. Thanks!!! teamroper |

Here's examples of what I'm wanting to do.

Sounds good!!!
Check out the pics in the second "Hot Link" again, I posted the first pic twice by mistake. This link below shows it mounted on a GSG-5 SBR. cut & tapped Warlock QD mounted on GSG-5 SBR If re-threading the Gemtech 1/2x28 barrel won't work: I have a cut (8.27"+.04/-0") & OD of barrel turned down (.37"+/-.001 for a distance of .71" with a 45 degree x.01 chamfer on the OD of the barrel muzzle) factory barrel for the Gemtech original style GSG-5 SBR adapter that screws into the FSB, maybe it could be threaded and my Warlock QD mount could be turned down to fit inside the FSB flush, and then my 1/2x28 Warlock QD mount could be tapped to fit the new barrel threads??? or....................................maybe; I could buy another SBR barrel that hasn't been turned or threaded, then you could turn down my QD mount, thread the barrel, and re-tap my QD mount??? If my 1/2x28 mount won't work, I could buy a Sig Mosquito QD mount that maybe would work??? I'm sure you can do it, but I just want you guys to decide which route would be the best......................................and cheapest of course???
