    I'm thinking about getting a Colt 16" lightweight barrel.

    Would there be any problem getting it cut down to 14.5" and perm-attaching a Phantom?

I will have to double check, when i get to the shop today, but i think there may not be enough "meat" at 14.5" to get good threads. I will check later and repost.

 Update: Yes, it can be done with no problems.
