I was lucky to receive 2 D-60 drum mags for Christmas. I immediately inserted them into my 4 go to ARs. On each rifle-it was extremely difficult to release the bolt catch. Each rifle has over 1000 flawless rounds-BCM uppers/BCM BCGs and spikes or DD LPKs. Each of the rifles works flawlessly with PMags. The D-60s release just fine from the magwell. Not a huge issue-but somewhat disconcerting as it is happening to each rifle.

Has anyone had any similar issues with their D-60s?

I've fired off an email to Magpul-waiting to hear what they have to say.

No issues here

Would you like me to move this to the Magpul Fourm?

Were the mags empty? If so, its just a strong spring pushing on the follower. Besides, why do you need to send bolt home on an empty mag?

If the mag was loaded, then you have an issue. LoL

The D-60 is designed to lock the bolt back after the last round for most AR15/M4/HK416 platforms.  Inserting an empty magazine and manually cycling the charging handle typically will not activate the bolt hold open feature.  There should be no issues when ammunition is in the magazine.
