What says the hive?  It says Magpul Industries Corporation instead of Magpul Ind Corp Patented on the left side like my other one, but otherwise looks ok.  I'm in the process of purchasing.  The Magpul UBR PDF in the sticky thread does not seem to be working.  Additional information from seller is that he bought it directly from a retailer (Bravo Co or Denny's guns)  when the UBR first came out.  Doesn't recall the date.  All his comms have been first rate and feel legit.

If it's one of the first ones, it will look similar to the knockoffs. Send some pictures to magpul, they will help you out. They did for me.

The texture on the first ones are different than now. They also said Magpul Industries Corporation. Also the bolts may or may not say magpul on them. Mine didn't, but magpul rep said they were gtg. Not sure when they started using the stamped bolts.

Best bet is to get with magpul. Hope that helps.

I've reached out to Magpul by email and IM - so we'll see what they say.  The stock arrived today.  It weighs the same as my factory retail one 1 lb 10 oz with the buffer tube.  The stock positions on the extension are stamped not laser engraved.

But, the screws on the compartment doors are stamped YFS.

A google search turned up this on YFS machine screws -

The things that bother me are the engravings on the plastic stock and the Asian machine screws.
