Hey all,
I work at a gun store in Olympia WA. We sold a set of Glock speed plates to one of our regular LEO customers and within the first week of using them on his duty mags they fell apart. It appears that the "mag pull" on the bottom of the speed plate is glued on to the base plate. Well, the glue came undone while he was chasing a suspect through the woods and the 'pulls' fell off. He recovered one, but the other is lost to the woods somewhere. He has attempted to get ahold of Magpul for the past month to no avail. Only auto-responses via email. And I get it, Magpul is probably one of the most popular companies these days, and with everything that's going on, I can understand some delays in everything. We've tried to get ahold of Magpul as a dealer during this time too and can't come up with anything. Is there someone out there that can help us get this officer some help with his speed plates? Thank you in advance for your time. |
| Tell him to use the factory mag plate and ditch the stuff that is not holding up to police use. Better to be aware that this fails now than during a gunfight. Ive been carrying Glock 22 on duty and off for the last 13 years with no issues using the factory parts. The only alteration I would even consider is taking a little material off the back of the trigger guard with the round sanding dremel tool so that the middle finger has more room on the grip and is more comfortable. |

I got ahold of a representative over at Magpul thanks to 'Magpul's post here in the forum. My customer got his replacement Speedplates and is all set now.
This is stand up service from Magpul and is why I will continue to recommend all of their products to my customers and use them myself. Thank you again Magpul. |
