I bought 10 non-windowed Pmags today (May 2011 manufacture date if I am reading the date code logo thingy correctly) at a gunshow along with a mag coupler.  Coupler date looks to be 6 (arrow) with stamp of "2" on it so maybe June of this year.

The side of the coupler that has the word "Magpul" on it fits fine.  The other side marked "MAGLINK & 30-1 does not fit at all, not even close.  The groves on that side of the coupler are much wider than the ridges on the mag and they just don't match up.  The ridges on my mags are the same distance apart on each side but the groves on that one side of the coupler are much wider apart than the other side.

So are my mags too old of a version for the coupler or is the coupler not right?  Are the ridges on newer mags wider on one side than the other?  I have not seen the new ones yet.

You got pictures?

You bought them at a gun show so maybe it is counterfeit.

Will try to get pics.  If its a fake, its a pretty good one.   Everything came from what I perceive to be a Magpul dealer.  They had everything Magpul had to offer but you never know.  The packaging was correct along with all the logos etc.  Came with the instruction sheet and a nice Magpul decal etc.

Are the PMags Original Equipment branded?

Yes, they appear to be.  I got them from Quantico Tactical who is a site sponsor here.  Original packaging just like others I have bought in the past from them and other dealers.  They bought thousands in anticipation of the newer mags and current demand.

My mags look like the OEM ones that according to the post from Magpul, are the real deal.  That leaves the coupler.

You should post pics of the coupler and packaging.

Pic as follows.  Notice the spacing of the grooves or gaps in the coupler pieces that fit into the ridges of the magazine.  On the left one, they are closer together.  On the right one, they are further apart.

The left side piece fits OK.  The one on the right side does not fit at all and will cant when pushed on to the mag.  Am I missing something here?

I just took my maglink apart and it's identical to yours.  My M2's pit perfectly OP, so maybe you should retry?

The flathead screws are pointing to the back on the rifle with a mag inserted - correct?

Your putting it on backwards...  The mags are "C" shaped so the outside (or longer radius) of the link will need to be longer than the inside (shorter radius) of the link.

Give Customer service a call. The OEM PMags probably is the issue here as the rib spacing was changed to allow more room for the branding at the base.

Our guys will take care of you.

They are not on backwards.  Double checked.  The larger piece is not close to fitting on either side, the spacing is just not right.  Called Magpul twice now, left messages but no call back.  Not good.

What gen is your mags..? The mag coupler does not work on gen1 mags...

(I just picked up a mag coupler today and ran in to this problem)

Sent an IM to to you a while back with my contact info.  Also left a phone message at tech support.  Nothing back yet on either channel.  What else do you need from me?   Try again?
