I'll be out visiting the Denver area in a week or so on a biz trip and was wondering if there's much to be had in visiting the Magpul facility. Any tours, a shop, a demo area/range, etc? I know it sounds maybe a little geeky or fanboy-ish, but I was thinking it'd be kinda cool to see Santa's elves making all the toys we want for Christmas, or at very least some kind of black rifle related tourism.

Sorry, no tours. Once upon a time we allowed them but OPSEC is a priority these days.

Santas elves hardly, more like Willy Wonka's place.

Darn.  I understand.  Well, is there a store at least w/ a range, a sort of Magpul Land if you will?  If not, perhaps can there be in the future?

they don't have a store front. their staff is focusing all on upcoming products. you can't even drop off/pick up packages, they have to be shipped.

First rule of the question" Forgiveness or Permission" & OP you failed.

Should a dropped in w/ a 'package' for Dr Drake that only could be signed by him or his second...then you would have had your foot in the door to begin your impromptu to tour.

Ya just gotta ask your self 'Forgiveness or Permission'???

Half the point of me asking was to find out if there's anything cool to see, like I saw when I toured the Tabasco facility in Avery Island, LA or the US Mint, like on the TV show "How It's Made", plus something like a range and store kinda like how a lot of companies such as breweries having a brew pup on site.  The latter just makes sense.  Maybe it's something you guys at Magpul might consider in the future since it fits the business model you already have of making fun and effective stuff, sell the brand image of awesomeness, and have people having a good time with the cool stuff.  If nothing else it's making more money with what you already have and already do.

Not to be "THAT GUY" but I'll be THAT GUY.

Magpul, just like the company I work at, requires client confidentiality and as such you can't just tour a facility like that to see "cool things." Magpul is also a company that doesn't share "in progress" projects, as they've moved to a "release it when it's done" model. This requires significant respect from empoyees, testers, etc not to let loose lips sink ships.

It's also a small company from what we've all gathered, and as such having range time, tours, etc takes away time from employees busting their chops to get all of these products done that so many people whine about not being released yet.

There's no monetary gain when they're selling ten's of thousands of mags to the military which then requires a production and design pipeline to allow it. Not to rant, but the logic for a tour sounds fairly ridiculous when their effort would best be directed towards their tasks at hand.

Who wants to go to China anyway? Or what ever south Asian companies make their product.

Do a video tour?  Walk through your plant showing your equipment and how it works. Other 'Big' companies do it.

Those extrusion machines must be huge, How many Tons are they?  How many do you have? 4?  6?

Do you have American Workers?

I was there.
Not in China but in Colorado.
They had American workers and last time I checked Colorado was still part of the USofA.
So if this has not changed, stop that crap!
This is why Magpul has all this regulations about there product informations, because of the crap some guy´s write in the internet.
If you don´t like Magpul and there products, fine!
No problem! Go and buy something else...but shut the f***k up.
It sucks!

Cheers,
