IMO otterbox cases are great for some folks but too bulky for me. I agree. The Defender series is really bulky for sure. The Commuter series isn't much larger than the MagPul case. I had two of the MP cases from SHOT last year...they are very nice for the price but don't offer much protection. |

| I'm familiar with the Otterbox lines of iPhone cases. I also agree with how bulky they are. That's my first issue with any case. Second, I really really don't like silicone as an outer surface. Nothing soft or rubbery, it makes it too difficult to slide in and out of pockets. Third is multiple piece design. This always leads to more dirt in more crevices as well as greater potential for failure; two pei es have to mate somehow and often that method fails over time. And of course price point. This case provides exactly the amount of protection I was after from day to day living and my often too buttery fingers! |
