I tried emailing Magpul's CS and also PM'd "Magpul" here, Monday and Sunday respectively, both with no response yet.
I have 11 out of spec Pmags, 10 lightly used and 1 BNIP. They are about .01" too large and therefor won't drop free. These are dated 1/09, black, non-window, and 30rd. Is there anyway I can get these replaced? ETA: Just minutes ago, I got a response from Magpul via email and they are sending replacements plus postage to return the out of spec ones. ETA2: I had to wait for the new batch of black Pmags to be finished but received them sooner than I expected. The new ones are perfectly in spec. Thanks!!!! |

Its very likely that your lower is out of spec. PMAG are larger than USGI mags. A lower that will drop USGI mags will not necessarily drop PMAGs. But they do tend to drop free from any in spec Colt lower. With other brands it a crap shoot. No, I've tried them in two brand new Spike's lowers, bought at different times, from different lots(different s/n prefix). However the most telling is the fact that my 5/09 dated Pmags drop free perfectly and measure .01" smaller than the 1/09 dated mags. I even opened a brand new mag of each date to rule out the chance that the mags have stretched from use. I also used my digital calipers to measure the Spike's magwells and they are within spec, though slightly smaller than my RRA lowers. |

We're in the week leading up to SHOT show, so they are most likely running around like chickens with their heads cut off getting ready. Give them a week or 2 to do the show and get back to the office before jumping down anyones throat. |

Good point, I didn't think about how busy they might be preparing for SHOT, though I wouldn't say I'm jumping down anyone's throat
