| This year I WILL be buying a new .308. I have been back and forth between Knight's SR-25 EMC, Larue OBR, and FNH 17s for a while now with the occasional fantasy about the Massoud. If the SR-25 had a bolt catch/release like the ACR-Masada/Massoud, I would already have one in my safe. I am hoping for good news on the Massoud at the 2011 Shot Show. Good luck Magpul! |

For what it's worth Robinson Arms is supposed to be releasing a XCR in .308. It's bolt release is similar to the ACR. There are even people working on a adapter to use the ACR stock.

Still wishing there was a Massoud in the future somewhere. I'm feeling a need to get in the 308 game.
RFB is calling me, but so is an OBR/Reaper/LMT308/New Colt and I like the idea of a XCR 308 that takes a ACR stock. I really would prefer the Massoud, especially since I bought an ACR and have come to know and love it. Anyone ever here of it's status? Did they ditch it? Offer it to Bushy/Remington and they not want it? Just shelf it? -ZA |
The Massoud is really high on my list too, but can't wait any longer. I have an order in for a PredatAR. I may still pick up an ACR if the prices ever come down to a level acceptable to me, especially since LaRue can build a sub 6lb rifle with a stainless lothar walther barrel for $1500.
