If you look at the picture in the Magpul 2010 catalog, you can see its a bit lower profile, but I'm not sure the design is the same as what was shown there. I know Magpul takes its R&D pretty serious, so there is always the possibility they have made changes and improvements since the initial concept of the gen 2. |

Well if the suit is awaiting judgment, and there's a possibility that they'd have to shut down. . . then it would be wise to keep churning out gen 1's instead of spending money on R&D and re-tooling for gen2's that they may not get to sell for long. :) |

1st gen MBUS are made of metal and can be used like pistol sights when folded down...go ahead and ask how I know... Those were made for the KRISS Super V because the gun was supposed to be able to be fired like a pistol or a rifle. Those weren't 1st gen, just a special sight made for TDI |
