I just got both the APO and AOTDH DVDs in the mail. I really enjoyed watching and learning from the APO DVD. I'm leaving to retrain for Aerial Gunner and I think that it pretty much inspired me to push for helos instead of AC-130s, those aerial shots looked awesome! I'm watching AOTDH as I type this and it looks to be more great material, thanks guys!

I'm excited either way, I know they will both be awesome. I think one of the perks of Helos is I'll also get the chance to do rescues for folks here and do humanitarian missions from time to time. Its mighty hard to do humantarian missions with gunships, just a whole lot of taking out the enemies of this great country

Either way you are going to be happy as both platforms have really cool missions. I tell you what watching the Spooky high speed taxi to take off at 2am in Iraq was pretty fucking cool. There were a few times when I was driving on the flight line as a C-130 taxied by only to realize that fucker is taxiing really fast and has really large barrels sticking out the side. Get some |
