Does anyone have this configuration?  Do you have any pix?

Thanks

I do.  I had a MS2 rear clip replaced with a QD swivel.  I have a second MS2 with the original clip that I can just connect to a swivel in one of the mounts.  What do you want a picture of and I'll snap a few off.

I just hook the MS2 buckle into a QD swivel on the UBR.

Clipped to a QD and a modified one.  Pay no attention to the crappy stitching.....a local shoe repair shop did it and they were not too concerned with attention to detail.  I use that one because most of my other rifles have Noveske QD rear plates, so I can switch the sling off.  (Somebody here posted this mod - so I tried it.)  This would be nice if there was a factory replacement like this; i.e. choice of rear clip or QD.

Yeah, I'd like to see them come with a QD from the factory too.

This is exactly the UBR-compatible sling that Travis was describing this past summer during a Dynamic Carbine class that I attended.

I like the combination better than the MS2 with the ASAP.  Clipping the MS2 to a QD then to the stock or receiver creates an additional failure point (not that they fail, but no need to add an additional possibility).  Of course I can see why they wouldn't do it since it would promote the Noveske plate rather than the ASAP.  They could market it as a MS4, UBR compatible sling.

Plus, it would save me (and it's all about me, right) some time and money looking for a shop that can do the mod with a little more attention to detail.

I popped out the QD socket and went to the hardware store and picked up about 8 washers, a nut, and an I-bolt.  I opened up the Ibolt with a punch so the MS2 hook would fit and be able to quick disconnect. Then I threaded the nut on to the end of the threads on the ibolt, then 4 washers, then stuck the bolt into the socket and washers/nut on the backside and tightened it down.

It works good.. its solid.. and will do until Magpul makes an ASAP for the UBR.
