Finally got my BAD from AIM and it doesn't want to fit |
|
Me too but I made it work. I took off the bolt catch and filed it down so that it would fit. You are going to need a punch to remove the pin. Ideally a roll punch but any type should work. Tap lightly and you might want to tape up the area. I didn't but I'm not to concerned with scratches.
My lpk was a RRA as well |
| I have 3 lowers, and the BAD does not fit on my RRA either. My other 2 lowers have a BAD on them (one has a CMMG LPK and I forget the other), and after looking more closely the RRA catch has more material on the outer edges that make it a hair larger than the others. |

I had a RRA LPK, and the BAD lever wouldn't fit my ping-pong either.
Since RRA was having a free-shipping sale on parts at the time, I gambled and bought a couple more bolt catches from them, along with a few other small parts spares. My thinking was that this was just a small lot that was out of spec, and even if neither replacement fit, I could freely dremel until one did. Both the bolt catch paddles I received fit the BAD just fine, and I swapped it and discarded the "bad" catch. |
