Has anyone cut or modified their Magpul XTM rail panels. Can you post photos of the final results? What tools work best?

I don't have any pictures, but I cut a square out of one of my panels so I it would clear the lever on my light mount.  I used a dremel with a cut-off wheel, and then de-burred the edges with a needle file.  Worked great.

I just cut one today for this photo...

What tools work best?

For straight cuts, a miter box and hacksaw work great. Dremel for cleanup and exacto knife to remove flash.

Here are a couple I did to fit the contour of a TangoDown VFG.  First two are on my AR, next two are on my Saiga 12.

I used a coping saw to cut off the excess length, then made the rough contour with a Dremel sanding drum.  Did the final fit, and smoothed it out by hand with sandpaper.
