I know check sig line and all that, but this is just a question I'm looking for a stock for my next build and I like the UBR just would like a wink/foot stomp to know if you guys are updating the UBR to work with the ASAP or somehow going to include a form of the ASAP into the UBR design ?? just asking because I have a history of buying crap and a 2 days- week the updated or new version comes out and i'm SOL. so to buy or hold off ....l. |
I'm actually amazed they don't have this. Even stupid old me integrated that into my design for a custom UBR style stock back when no one could get them. I still need to find time to build it... And now it looks like people are starting to be able to get some UBRs, too.

| At the July Dynamic Carbine I and II class, Travis saw several 'home brewed' solutions to the no-ASAP/MS2 problem with UBRs. A couple of us asked him if a solution was in the works. It's coming soon, but not quite what we would expect. His description seems to make the MS2 work extremely well with the UBR. He doesn't run one (UBR), but he feels our pain and the guys back in Erie are working a solution. |

thank you that information was helpful! Quoted: At the July Dynamic Carbine I and II class, Travis saw several 'home brewed' solutions to the no-ASAP/MS2 problem with UBRs. A promise is a promise and we winked and nodded and said we wouldn't cough up any details.
Hell, I'm probably getting the stink eye for dropping dime. Yup, I just heard "douche bag" from the collective consciousness in Erie. Geez, Drake and Justin must get paid a wheel barrow full of money to put up with the constant bitching.
It's got to be like getting nibbled to death by a flock of ducks. |

lol, I understand the need for "trade" secrets and the reason why they won't release any info on current projects, but sometime a wink or yes we are and that is all that will be said would be nice or even as something like you said so tactfully would be nice. | It would seem to me that it would be possible to remove the front QD cup, and bolt-in an ASAP curved bracked (steel, with ears or a bottom strap on the bottom edge to keep it aligned) to the existing UBRs without a major design modification. Not quite the same range of motion, but that sounds like it could be a $25 part (and a huge hit) |

That's good! A good friend of mine in the Corps just got an M6A2 and a UBR. He's currently running an MS2 sling with a QD swivel on the UBR stock.
Good setup, but when he switches shoulders the sling naturally shortens because its wrapping around the bottom of the stock. He'll be glad to know a solution is in the works. S/F |

I used the Daniel Defense for mine and it works out ok.
