Anyone else waiting longer for products from magpul? It's been a week and no shipping notice yet, is this the norm? I haven't bought from them before.

Patience is one thing, but I placed my order a 11 days ago. Now I don't mind waiting, but I do like to be updated.

Interesting...  I'm having a similar issue.  I placed an order 1/19 and still haven't heard anything about my order being shipped (even with 3 emails sent to Magpul).

I'm not impressed with the level of service at all.  I don't have this kind of problem with any other company I deal with.

Meh, I ordered 6 followers, 6 springs, 6 ranger plates, 4 XTM panels, the DVD and t-shirt 2+ weeks ago.

The rail panels, DVD and T-Shirt came a few days later, with a message saying the mag rebuild stuff was backordered ... no word since then.

I guess patience is a virtue.

I can semi-understand the customer service view point; however, anybody paying attention knows manufacturers/distributors are swamped like nothing I've ever seen before.  Good grief, I guess MAGPUL can spend time updating their website, answering phones or just keep running 24/7 to meet the unbelievable backlog...

Honestly, I think I saw 44MAG alone had over 50,000 PMAGs on back order, then add several other big dealers and come to the realization you're just going to have to wait for a bit.

Pretty much the same thing with all other "black rifle" stuff, but put your order in and I'm sure you'll be taken care of by any of the excellent companies that are "Industry Partners" around here.

Good luck, and I'm waiting for stuff too.

ETA, just found on "MAGPUL.com" (http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=80_120):

"Due to the EXTREMELY high demand for PMAGs during this period, we are not accepting direct retail magazine orders. All production is being shipped to our Dealers and Distributors only. Thank you for your support of Magpul Industries products."

I ordered 6 black 20s from Botachtactical on Oct. 7th. Charged my CC on Oct 10th. As of  Friday, Jan 27th, they were still on back order. Can anyone beat that?

I've always found the wait from Magpul to be reasonable.

If they had it in stock, they shipped it right out.

If they didn't, I was grown up enough to realize that they can't just pull it out of their ass and toss it in the mail for me.

And if they just announced that the product was out of R&D and Beta-testing, that I'd need to wait just a little longer.

Quality takes time. Quality that is in demand sometimes takes a little longer.

It's called patience.

My answer to a similar thread:

Sorry for your communication troubles. Your emails could very well have made it here and just simply have not been answered yet. I just did a bunch from home this evening for a few hours and just finally got caught up to Jan. 18th with only about 130 more to go. Phone calls are pretty bad too but I try to answer all voicemails ASAP and can usually do so now within a day or two.
SHOT Show isn't the only reason for the delays, it's just compounded those from the post-election frenzy. And when I say frenzy I'm extremely understating the situation. The industry in general is busier than it has ever been, EVER. I know of firearm manufacturers who have well over 100,000 rifles on backorder, barrel manufacturers who are backlogged over a year, ammo companies that have nearly NO inventory, and magazines- well, I won't even go there...
Our inventory changes every hour with most everything going out the the door withing 48 hours of hitting the shelves and consequently we cannot keep tabs on the website of what is in stock at any given time. All emails will eventually get responded too but a phone call is still the fastest way to get in touch with us right now. We're all doing our best...
