Since nobody else is really talking about them, I just got 20 of 'em this week.

The only thing I wish is that the rubber bridge was molded around some polymer like the floorplate so that the shock cords on my TT shingles wouldn't dent it in, but that's just me being nitpicky.  Actually, it's not such a bad thing because that dent helps keep the cord centered on the mag.

Ok, I lied.  I also wish a had another 100 P-mags to put 'em on.

They're nice and grippy, a breeze to install, and they made it easier to yank the mags out of their pouches. I'd also like to add that even with that locking tab depressed, it still takes a fair amount of pressure to remove the original floorplates from my mags - they don't just slide off.  It's good to know that my floorplates will stay put pretty much no matter what.

Another home run for Magpul.  Looking forward to the FDE version.

Can you still load the mag with 30 rounds or do you have to download by one or to rounds like a metal mag?

The only time you'd have to download a mag with Ranger Plates was if you didn't have a Magpul follower.

The pmag w/ ranger plate holds 30 rounds, internally no changes are made with the addition of the ranger plate.

With PMAG Ranger Plates there is no need to download.

anyone know where to get them in their tan (flat dark earth) color?
The magpul site seems to not have that color  :(

AFAIK black is the only color available at this time, although it's my understanding that other colors are on the way.

I put black ones on my FDE Pmags and really like the way it looks.

His pics don't scare me, but I bet they scare a lot of professional gun photographers.  My camera's down anyway.  I can tell you that the green is pretty dark...  I thought I had gotten black ones until I got them home in the light.  They match the OD XT rail covers but are just a tad darker.
