Have you thought about something in between the ladder rails and the textured covers?
Like ladder rails that don’t have open slots.  Not as wide and bulky as the textured covers,
they would give a smooth finished look for areas where grip is not an issue.

Examples being: top hand guard rails, or to fill in gaps around optics and between scope rings.
Could be installed on unused handgun rails, creating less drag when drawn from a holster.

No, the same dimensions as the ladder rail, just without the openings, so they would have a smooth appearance.

You dont think they would get slick when your hand starts to sweat? 100 degrees and a sweaty hand would cause my hand to slide around when im trying to shoot

Like I said in the original post, for use only in places where grip is not an issue.
Like the top rail on a handguard or to fill in gaps around optics mounts.
They could have a little texture. They just wouldn't be as wide as regular panels.

Sounds like you have some pretty specific wants. You could see about making a set yourself.

Something like this.  Sorry, quickie job, just to get the idea.
See, no gaps in the front half of the rail.
