I noticed no mention of it in the 08 catalog and no pics yet from SHOT?

You too huh?

I'll take that folding thing over the PDW though. ARFcom tradition: Want both. Actually need both. You know... for zombies

I did see pics of it somewhere from this year in one of the threads.

That is the coolest thing I've seen since the first time I laid my eyes on a real-mil M16...

I have decided NOT to purchase the PS90 or either of the AUG clones and instead wait to see how the PDR development goes.

This thing would completely negate my desire to SBR any more ARs.
(I realize of course that this would be classified as SBR too.)

What's the chance of a PDR being offered in a semi-auto with a 16 inch barrel?

Honestly I'd have to say pretty good.  Magpul is pretty cool about getting us all the neat toys.

And they have an extablished relationship with Bushmaster, who primarily makes $$$ from civilian sales, who also used to make the M17 bullpup.

Magpul said in an earlier post that they were going to start live fire trials in December of the PDR.  I would dearly, dearly love to see footage of that!  Now that the Masada has been finalized (I'm still going to call it that) they will have more time to make all manner of goodies.

(Pure speculation)

I'm just excited to see them pull this off.

It will be unlike any firearm out there really.

The PDR looks to have addressed and solved many issues with previous bullpups and PDWs all at the same time in one rifle.  Amazing really.

A Mag Release forward of the trigger for faster mag changes.

Mid-Receiver rather than stock or forward ejection.

The trigger even looks pretty sharp, but only time will tell whether they can overcome the connection issues that most bullpups suffer from.

The polygonal barrel is just what the doctor order for a short barrel 5.56x45mm personal defense weapon.

If they can keep recoil down to a minimum and keep muzzle flash directed so that it does create a fire ball when you fire it large enough to see from space I think they'll have one of the best firearms to come out in a long, long time.

I can see pilots and crew in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment loving this weapon.

Any chance of making it ambi for us poor lefties.........   I love bullpups.....  I like the P/PS-90 but the rounds are too expensive...    Not that 5.56 is much cheaper now but still...

I imagine if the ACR does well, Bushmaster will take a close look at the PDR.... or at least I hope so.  I want one bad.

please, please, please make the barrel a quick change so i can switch calibers.
a sbr'd pdr in .338 spectre shooting the 300 grain sub sonics with a 9x19mm can would be my ultimate setup.

Ooooo, that would be neat!

Yeah, a P90 never really got on my radar, cool though they are, because of ammo cost to effectiveness ratio.  But this PDR with a 16" barrel would be a great piece.  And probably the first thing I'd ever SBR.  If you build it........

WE WILL COME!

With you on that one. The P90 is neat, but the ammo is the biggest turnoff for me. If it somehow became a standard round and more easy to come by it would be a little more appealing since the mags hold a lot more than any normal 5.56mm mag could hold.

Still... I'll take the PDR any day. I like to limit how many different types of ammo I need to buy.
