Is this a go? Pat Rogers posted pics of these, and I am eagerly awaiting word. I am left handed, and love the idea of an ambi bolt release. I love the idea of hitting the mag release with my right hand, stowing my empty, loading a fresh, and hitting the bolt release with my right hand. All of this will allow me to reload without every losing my sight picture. I dont know if I prefer billet over the standard forgings, but I've heard both will be available. To be honest, really dont know what the plusses are of billet. I've heard billet is awfully expensive, and I really dont wantto pay $300 for a stripped lower. Especially when I plan to buy two or more. |
If you are looking for functional and cheaper lowers, there are plenty of them out there. The Magpul billet lower is going to be expensive, and I doubt it will be as low as $300. There are multiple threads about this item, but if I can answer any questions based off my own use of the lowers, I would be more than happy to do so. |
We have been using Norgons Ambi Catch for 8 years. It fits into the stock mag catch hole and requires no modification to the receiver. It was standard item for Force Recon M4s and has an NSN# due to these mil contracts. |
Well if thats the case, I guess I was severely misled, and will give them a shot! But anywho, how 'bout those MCLA lowers. It looks like you have a winner there! However, if forged, they'd make more sense to the common AR builder, me. I understand billet issupposed to be uber, and there's no doubt, but they are also uer expensive. |

Wait, we must be mistaken. I am not looking for an ambi mag relase, I am looking for an amb bolt release. As a lefty, on an AR, I can actuate the stock mag release with my support (right) hand. I want to be able to do the same thing but actuating the bolt release so I dont have to do some funky manuever, flipping the rifle over, etc. |
