Try contacting S&W.  I have a 15T (serial number in the 7000s) and the PMAGs work just fine.  I've read that some S&W M&P15s have problems with PMAGs, but I haven't read if anyone has tried contacting S&W, and what S&W had to say.

Actualy this is a TechnicalForum, the best place to go would be the  Idustry Section

Then scroll down to the Magpul Forum

I will move the thread to their Forum, and it will leave a Hotlink for the OP to go right to it

Why would Magpul do that (a special line of mags for the Smith, and the associated mold that costs God knows what)?  The out of spec problem is with the lowers and not the mags, hell, they even fit my Wilson Combat lower that has always been tight with many mags out there.

I would contact S&W and see if they will exchange it for you.

I got my 06/07 P-Mags today, and I must say they look/feel very impressive! I tried them in a M&P-15T at our shop, and they were very hard to insert then did not drop free! Got home this evening and tried them in my personal M&P-15T (low 600 serial #), and they inserted then dropped free with no problems whatsoever! They were also perfect in both of my Bushmasters, my RRA, and my Robinson XCR. Nice mags for a F'in awesome price...if you can set up a Brownells account they are 11 bucks and some change!
