I was going to order a couple of lower receivers and some small parts but was deterred by the projected $19 shipping cost.  I inquired and was told it was due to UPS' charge for adult signature required.  I checked UPS web site and came up with the same $19.  Seemed like a lot in relation to the value of the parts.  Shipping on a complete rifle kit was $16 which seemed reasonable.  Would it be possible to ship small orders by USPS (flat rate box?) or some other, more economical, method?

There are extra measures that have to be taken with shipping lower receivers.  Our system "pings" UPS shipping rates throughout the day to keep them current.  UPS also picks up at our facility everyday.  We can ship USPS, but in some cases it has cost more when you take adult signature required and insurance into consideration.  The popular "Flat Rate Priority Boxes" do not include insurance or signature required.  Also, some items do not fit into these boxes and we have to use a standard brown box, which costs more.  Then, we have to drive it to the post office.

I have found that unless you are shipping something that can fit in a little flat rate box without having to insure it, you are better off shipping UPS.  That being said, we can still ship it USPS, but you would need to put in your order comments saying that is what you want.  The shipping will be figured up after the order is prepared for shipping, since we have to get more precise weights.

Thanks,
Laura
