Mounted my 16' chrome lined light weight upper on my Stag lower
headed off to the range to get her tested and sighted in.

Ammo used

IMI 55grain ball
Monarch 55 grain brass case ball
PMC ball (older stuff)
Remington green box 55 grain ball

Magazines where Brownells 20 and 30 round magazines with standard green GI followers.

Started off with the Monarch, loaded the magazine and on the first shot had a failure to extract. Took a cleaning rod and knocked out the case.
Reloaded and no additional malfunctions in the first 4 rounds. A few adjustments and I was pretty much on target at 25 yds.

Loaded up a few more rounds and I had no problems and was sighted in. Reloaded the magazine with 10 rounds and had another FTE on the first round.

Switched to PMC and no more FTE but last round had a failure to feed on the last round in the magazine. Loaded five more rounds and no issues.

Loaded another magazine and has another failure to feed on the last round.

Switched to the IMI and had no issues at all. Loaded another magazine with 12 rounds and fired, had a failure to lock back after the last round but no failures to feed or extract.

loaded a magazine of Remington and had a failure to lock back but no issues with feed or extraction.

Accuracy is ok, not stellar but I'm certainly no where near as steady as I was years ago (getting older really sucks). Also needed to control my breathing better. at 25 yds I was getting about 1" groups with iron sights. I'm sure the gun can do better and it's me who's the loose nut behind the trigger.

I mounted my EOTECH got it sighted and groups dropped pretty well to around 1/2-3/4". Overall I'm pleased. I was going to try and use this upper on my STAG lower that is approved by the department but until I get it broken in I'll go back to my STAG upper that has exceptional accuracy for me and has never had a single malfunction in well over 2000 rounds so far.

After I get a hold of an O ring for the extractor I'll take it back out and see where it's at.
