Today I fired my new del-ton 16" it has a carry handle type sight setup. I put the rear sight on z for zero poped up the small long distance sight then fired 3 rounds it was hitting low @ 30m so I adjusted the front sight until it was dead on. (now the porblem ) when I went to shoot with the larger 0-200 sight all my rounds hit low 3-4" at all ranges from 20 feet on out to 25 yards what can I be doing wrong?

Read this article on IBZ first.
After that, you'll no doubt want to zero at 50 yards (using the small rear sight aperture) after making the recommended adjustment to your rear sight's elevation wheel. Then, shoot at 200 yards and make whatever minor adjustments you need to get 100% at 200 yards. See if that won't give you better results. eta –– if you can only shoot out to 25 yards, I'd still make the adjustments as outlined in the article, but zero at 25 yards with your rear sight set at the 'z' 1 or 2 clicks above the 300 yard setting. |
| There is nothing you can do about your "problem". The point of impact between the large rear sight aperture and the smaller one is just different. Zero your weapon with the small aperture and just leave it there. The chance of you needing to switch to the larger rear sight aperture is almost zero. |
