Well, I ordered my kit at the height of the insanity (inauguration day) - order 309xx.  Received my 20'' A2 HBAR kit early this school year (August 2009).
Took awhile as a student to get the money/time together to complete the build.  This is my second build.

Around Christmas 2009, I finally picked up a lower from Blackheart International. (with a beautiful WV logo roll mark).
Interestingly, the lower parts kit provided by Del-Ton required a little fitting.  The metal of the trigger assembly was a bit to thick vertically and was hanging up o the safety.  After grinding it down ever so slightly, the build proceeded without any more roadblocks.

This past weekend, I finally got to the range to set her to a 300 meter battlefield zero.

Was extremely impressed with the performance.  The Del-Ton trigger was crisp and even better than the trigger in my Rock River midlength.  After setting to a 300 meter zero, I was hitting dish sized targets out to 200 yards (farthest I could test at the range) easily with open sights.

Now that I hear Del-Ton has mostly caught up with the tsunami of orders, I might buy another kit.

Thanks Del-Ton.
Here are some picks.

Oh, as you can see, I ditched the somewhat cheap/frail Del-Ton handguards and used an old A1 furniture set for a "retro" look.

The fit and finish of the Del-Ton upper is a bit gray compared to the BHI lower, but looks fine.
Overall, after handling Colts, Rock River, and Bushmasters I'd have to say that Del-Ton is the best kept secret and best value out there.
Customer service is top-rate as well.

I'd have to agree.

Not too much traffic in the Del-Ton forum I guess.

I recently purchased one of thier DTI-4  (M4) rifles and love it. It was priced $700, thats $200-300 lower that other BIG name manufacturers. The rifles fit and finish is as good, or better, than any competitor. The only way it could have been better, is, with a chromed bore and chamber with M4 feed ramps.  With the money saved, I purchased a Vortex Strikefire Red/Green dot and Matech BUIS. I would highly recomend you look into a Del-Ton rifle before you purchase any other AR.

+1 for Del-Ton

+2 for Del-Ton

I love my 16" chrome lined HBAR.  It shoots better than I can.
