Is the wait on chrome-lined 16" barrels even longer than the standard wait time, or is that just for the 20" barrel? For the record, I'd either be looking for a rifle kit with chrome-lined 16" M-4 barrel or the 16" mid-length chrome-lined heavy barrel.
I'm not really in a big hurry. If I don't get the kit until May or June it wouldn't kill me. And does a free float 4 rail handguard come installed, or do I have to do that myself? |

| Whats the difference between the 16" M4 barrel carbine kit vs the 16" lightweight barrel kit? Are they both still carbine length? I ordered the 16" chrome lined M4 carbine kit and was wondering if the lightweight kit is the same but just lightweight instead of Hbar etc? Thanks |

m4 barrell is cut to accept the m203 grenade launcher and will have a barrell extension with deeper m4 feed ramps.
The lightweight barrel will not have the notch for the grenade launcher, but I'm not sure whether the barrel extension will have the m4 feed ramps. AR15Barrels.com - barrel profiles schematic |

We honestly don't really know when the barrels will get here. We got in a shipment of standard heavy 16" barrels...those back orders will start shipping soon. As far as the chrome lined stuff goes, it should be coming soon too, but I'm not promising anything.
We're working on getting our own barrels up and running and once we do that hopefully things will start being in stock a little better since we'll be able to produce what we need! Kassandra |
