My little brother has a xmas request from Iraq. He wants long sleeve, brown T shirts. Anyone know a source? Thanks in advance.

| Does he mean longsleeve ACU undershirts? I found some via google here. AAFES might carry some too, I remember seeing them for sale now and then at Balad PX. |

Here are some "performance" shirts
http://www.potomacfieldgear.com/comersus/store/comersus_listCategories.asp Approved for wear outside the wire as well. Monk |

Wonder if they are really better than the cheap ones in the other link? I can't say for sure but I do know you only supposed to wear a 100% cotton, old nomex, or the new style fire resistant gear when outside the wire. 100% cotton shirts get soaked with sweat pretty quickly and that sucks when you cold or hot. The moisture wicking shirts help limit the slimy wet factor of cotton but most them will melt and stick to skin at high temps (IED flash over) So the Marine Corps banned them http://www.military.com/features/0,15240,93820,00.html Fire resistant gear (aka FROG) is "breathes" better and is lighter than Nomex (flight suit materials). Again I have no direct experience with Potomac Field Gear shirts. Monk |
