| how are these for careers? hard to get into? what are some good enlsted af jobs to look at? |

PJ you'd better be in shape BEFORE you take the PAST. Intel, long school, but rewarding, know a couple of airmen in that career field. What type of physical standards should I be meeting minimum to consider the job? Which job would guarantee me the biggest chance of going over seas to Germany/Europe? |

* Run 3 miles in under 21:00
* Do 50-60 picture perfect pushups in 2:00 * Do 100-130 situps over a 4:00 minute period * Do 12 perfect, deadhang pullups or chinups * Swim 1500 meters in under 28:00 I dont have the score chart from the school house but heres a start, you would probably need to do this by the end of week one there. and if you want to go to germany, be a load master or FE and spend a few days at a time there or deploy there would be your best bet |

Intel will have jobs everywhere. PJ's.......as others have said, you'd better be in shape before even contemplating it. I think their fail rate from the FIRST tests they run (still at Lackland) is over 45% if not higher. That's before you even get to any of the fun stuff.
Knowing what job you pick, and what bases you put on your dream sheet will help. I was Security Forces (they're everywhere) and only picked European bases for my overseas list, and bases I wouldn't mind in the US. I got what I wanted (Europe) though not Germany, Italy. Close enough. |

I spoke with a recruiter today and got some information on the RIP indoctrination program, but the only hurdle would be not digging heights so much and jumping would suck. I have also been looking into the WOFT High School to Flight School Option, anyone happen to know about this? Could I enlist, with job location being placed into my contract such as Germany, Italy or atleast Europe? Furthermore, would it be possible to get a INTEL MOS and get Air Assault, Northern Warfare, SERE and Mountain Warfare in my contract, or are High Speed schools not offered in enlistment contracts as they are in AROTC? |
