I am at my first duty station in Europe. I just found out that my son cant move over here with my wife and other kids. Is there any hope of me gettimg reassigned back to the states? Grounds for a compasionate?
Any help would be appreciated. |

Official answer is––––it depends.
Things taken into consideration. Why can't your wife move, why can't your kids move, is your family already command sponsored, has your household goods been shipped, etc, etc. A custody issue won't pull as much weight as a medical issue. If there is no other way, I recommend you broach the matter with your COC(first line to start with) and then go to S-1(PAC) to work some paperwork for the request. |
