I'm in the DEP program right now waiting to ship to basic (11bravo) I have a "Option 40" Ranger contract which essentially means i'll go from OSUT, to jump school, to RIP, correct? I'm confused about how long it takes to go from RIP to actual Ranger school, I've heard everything from 4 weeks, to "never."

To answer your question: your order is correct OSUT Airborne RIP. When you goto Ranger School depends entirely on you. If your a tool you wont be around long enough to even hear about it while in the Regiment. If your shits straight it will depend mostly on your squad leaders opinion of you. Could be a couple of months, could be a lot longer. Go do some pt. |
