| My ERB was just updated, and I am supposed to be heading to Fort Bragg, 1st BDE REPL after my AIT here in AZ. I have no clue what this unit is or does, and i could not find any information on it with a google search. Can anyone clue me in? I have been in TRADOC since 20080917, and I am needless to say very excited about getting into a "real" unit. I still have about 8 weeks of school here to go best case, so I'm hoping when I finally get where I'm going its a high speed unit. All of my friends here are going into SF groups or large combat units like the 82nd, or 2ID, and I'm hoping for something similar. |

1st BDE as in 1BCT 82nd Airborne Division. AKA: The devils in dirty baggy pants.
From there you'll be pushed out to whatever unit within that BCT you'll be assigned to. You say AIT in AZ, so I assume MI. You could go anywhere within the BCT. I assume you have jump school enroute? ETA: Of course, it's been 4 years since I was last assigned to Bragg, so their could be another 1st brigade out there somewhere. |
