I've sent a request to branch to send me to a unit headed to Afghanistan late 09 early 2010. What do you guys think the likely hood of me getting that is? Thanks in advance.

Find a light unit.
Also––look on SIPR, the next 2 years of rotations are on the patch chart. I already know who my relief is, and I haven't even gone yet.

once you leave korea and get dropped into a deployable BCT you'll go to iraq or AFG. its just a matter of when. you could get sent to a unit that got back 4 months ago and would have to wait, but you will still go.
