My buddy just got his letter for recall (we've both been out a year). Just curious if anyone has any information on this recall? What MOSs? Numbers? Thanks |
I believe you are referring to "Indivdual Ready Reserve" My understanding from an article in Leatherneck earlier this year is that the Corps generally will not draw from the first or fourth year of ones IRR status. MOS doesn't matter...just that you still have to be fit. Appears you and your buddy are prime "suspects" as you are now entering your second year.  Good luck and Semper Fi. Edited for "Indivdual" |
| I have no idea of numbers or what MOS's are being hit the hardest but I am an 1833 Sergeant who got recalled and have to report back to active duty on November 3rd. I know when I went for my recall mobilization the place was full of amtrackers and tankers. I was in my second year of IRR duty by the way and so were most of the other guys I know who were selected. |
