I'm not in "Battalion" anymore and that alone should tell some people about how old I am but really if you can't handle Rangers on the internet, how will you handle them in real life Just a friendly question ETA: There's a lot of former Rangers who post here, what are your questions maybe we can answer them or point you to someone who can? FAQ What's the best Battalion? 2/75 What's the best Company? A Co. 2/75 What's the best Platoon? 1st Plt. "Bad Muthers" A Co. 2/75 ![]()

Well Ranger689, its not that i cant handle them, its that sometimes its best to just shut up and listen. And their website is a place that it definitly applies. |
Your large red font is very intimidating.

Except for the unit specifics....+1 (Personally, Im a big fan of C 3/1/a 3/75). Seriously though, you will need thick skin if you think you want to try out for the Ranger Regiment. Being physically fit is a good thing, but not the only thing. You need to be mentally fit in several different ways. One, being able to mentally force your body to do things it doesn't want to do. Two, being able to do that while someone is giving you a wide array of wonderful reasons why you should quit. Three, being able to do both of these things for most of your time in a Ranger Bat. As a cherry, you will be teased and taunted in every way imaginable - from what your last name rhymes with to the size of your manhood. Don't ever tell anyone your mom's first name because until the next set of cherries get assigned to your platoon, said name will be the butt of all the crude jokes. If you take those things too seriously you will get frustrated and then you will not be able to really learn your job, or ever be really close to those in your unit. Weather the storm so after you prove yourself, you can do the same to others. It really is a lot of fun. |
As long as you follow the rules, the Kilted Heathen will not shit down your neck at ArmyRanger.com. AR is probably the best website to help young cherries out. We also have a mentorship program. As long as you abide by the rules it can be a big help. |
KH is arguably one of the more famous Rangers about. The things he talked about are about as famous as EricThe(Loquacious)Hun was here; but with a NC-17 Rated set of adjectives included in almost every sentence he writes. I'd post some of his writings, but I'd violate Coc for fowl language at least 6 times in almost any paragraph he hath wrote. Giggle(StandardAirborneQualifiedParatrooper)Smith
