Today I just Extended for 6 years in the VANG. That will put me at 24 years. I had to do it. I still enjoy drilling..even with the deployments. I work with a great group of soldiers.

To be honest I love being in the Guard.... besides the whole war thing you have to go to sometimes it's like a paid vacation to hang out with the guys and go camping and shoot shit.

I think after a certain point (near retirement age) you are not allowed any reenlistment bonuses, etc.

I could be wrong.
