Call the IGs office. You can not be in the NCIS system or any system as a felon without being convicted in a court of law. The bad check may show up on a back ground check as a felony charge but it should also show you were never convicted. Call the recruiter BN CDR and yes, some felonies can be waived. Find another recruiter to talk to. There are multiple NG recruiters in your state. |

Find another recruiter, or better yet call his boss. It sounds like they are trying to apply the following to your situation: ยง 923a. Art. 123a. Making, drawing, or uttering check, draft, or order without sufficient funds It also sounds like a load of crap. The fact that this is a setteled civilian misdemeanor means all you need is a moral waver. I would also call my state senator or assembly rep and light a fire under their ass as well. Start making waves and they will have to respond. |
BTW, I forget to say good luck. I've seen guys that stay in on drill status to pick up some bennie they want and then get out when they see a deployment on the horizon. I have to respect a guy that gets out during the M-day periods and comes back for the deployments!

Gentleman, Thanks for the advise. I can't tell you how much I hate to haved to talk to you people about this. I am extremly embarressed by this. I would like to know how I served 6 years after this fact, and enlisted and re enlisted several times. And now this comes up??? Will call my state senator and rep. Thanks Ritter |
Thank you, that is very nice of you to say, especially in light of my previous posts in this thread. It is worth noteing that I take great comfort from the fact that my fellow NCO's and soldiers want me to come back for this little trip. My old platoon leader is now a comapny commander, he even wrote me a very nice letter of recommendation, along with the the fact he would have me any any NCO slot in the unit he commanded. I just hit 40 a few months back....so if this happens....it will be the last of my Infantry deployments anyway.....just to fucking old to chew the leather anymore LOL Once again.....THANK YOU Semper Fidelis, Ritterkreuz |
