This afternoon a friend and I were sitting around telling SAC stories. Then I realized that the young guys have no idea of what old school SAC was like. That nuke SNAFU last year never would have happened in SAC. Things started getting loose when the fighter mafia took over. How many of you guys have heated water in the winter on a water-burner jet? |
I watched crewchiefs heat the water...I was a specialist  .Nothing like cart starts of every tail on the ramp during Global Shield...then watching 48 aircraft taxi and climb for altitude. 30 KC-135A's and 18 B-52G's...I was at Loring from 82-87.
