Is this supposed to happen at MEPS, or in the recruiter's office? He originally told me that it was going to take place in the office, and he just called me and said it would be taken care of at MEPS when I go in for my physical. He's been a recruiter for awhile, so it seems kind of sketchy that he was "just advised" that it was going to have to take place at MEPS instead of his office. Something just seems sketchy about the sudden change. Is this normal - should I be worried? Thanks in advance.

you get your MOS after the physical when you're sitting in an office with a guy at a computer working out the details of your contract, if you dont like anything that guy at the computer says or prints out, stand up and walk away and come back another day and get another guy. |
In this case, yes. At MEPS recruiters are not allowed into the carrer councilor's office because it's the recruiter's job to get you in the door, and the carrer councilor's job to get you an MOS. Unless you have a specific MOS in mind, prepare to get piched on whatever the Army needs right now.

Looking at the 11X option maybe someone more knowledgeable then I can answer but why not just pick 11B or 11C instead of the 11X?? |
I wanted 11b, but he said they only do 11x. :( |
That's the theory I suppose. I'm not sure if they did that in the old days when we still had 11M and 11H. BTW: OP...welcome to the team, and congrats!!! |
