| Now I know probably half of us have died off by now, but are there any 11th SFG here. I was with the 11th for eight years out of Dayton, OH and for several schools at Ft Devens a great group of people. |

rtech: Yes it was an Reserve unit and C company (Op Det C1) was out of Dayton. I actually grew up just south in Kettering and remember a lot of dreawy winters. Without the hills and forests (like NC) it was, as a lot of up North, a place I don't miss that much. Although I spent some 8 years in the 11th, I also spent 4 years active Army, with the 101st (2/187) back when it was a Airborne unit -- we all jumped! Also with the 1st Cav (2/7th) with all 11B mos's. My son humped an M60 for about 6 years in the Rangers, also with the 1/75 at Hunter. What a great group of young men! More power TO YOU for being a Ranger -- real warriors, bless everyone of them. |
