I don't post in this forum much. Even though I fought in Nam I was against that war. So I don't feel much like a Hero or a true VET. What I would like is for anyone who has a friend or family member in this war. Let them know I am praying for them. I have been having very bad flash backs from watching TV. I have been depressed thinking about these Young Kids. What they are going through. I pray they all get home safe and that our Government never turns their back on them down the road. |

We swore an oath to our government and to the people of the United States that we would defend our country from all enemies foreign and domestic. We did not pick that war. We did not set foreign policy. We weren't asked what we thought about it because we were in the military. We were called to duty and we served, right or wrong. I wish Vietnam could have been a more nobel cause but we did our duty with honor. I will never forget that a lot of our comrades gave their all. My heart sincerely goes out to our troops, their family and friends. |

I grew up during the viet nam war. I was young so as to whether i thought it was right or wrong I don't know. I do know that I always wanted the service men to come home okay. I know they got a raw deal when they did come home. I also have served in the military and would do so again. I thank everyone who served during that time because like any conflict we have been in you were doing what was expected of you, just like anyone else in the military be it this conflict or god forbid some other conflict we may be involved with. You were just defending all the freedoms that we hold dear to us and our country. I some what understand what you are going through since my husbands uncle served inthe marine corp during that time too. He has given us some glimpses as to what he went through too, and I am sure it's hard on him right now too. Mrs. Wildweasel. |

The fact that you went even though you didn't agree with the reasons why you were sent does you great credit. Plenty of other guys ran to college/Canada. My hat's off to ya! |

You folks set some very high standards to live and work by, and I just hope that when the dust settles on my corpse, that those who went before me would have said of my service, "He was one of us!". You did good edpmedic! Thanks for setting the standard! |

Thank You what I am glad for is that it is almost over I HOPE with little casualties. Even though one is too many. Now I hope they start to come home and get the right treatment. From the People that sent them and the American's who cheered and also didn't. All I know any of them have my place on line to get ahead at a Movie or to sit down and eat. GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM |
