| I start terminal leave on Dec 14th and my ETS date is Jan 30th. I've been trying to find jobs locally (Ft Campbell area) as well as the Nashville area, but can't seem to find anything that I am "qualified" for. I'm a medic so I've been looking mostly in that field, but no luck yet. Anyone know any place that's hiring, particularly something in EMS or something in an ER? |

you may just have to settle for right now. with Obama on the warpath, look for stagnant growth, deflated wages (if any) in most good paying jobs.
you service is enough if you consider only about 1% of the entire popualtion is fit TO serve. It should be enough to get you a job in my opinion. practicing medical is gonna limit you unless you can get a EMT-B- paramedic licence. I got my last job by getting my foot in, talking with a manager who just happened to be a ARNG TSgt,, and he pulled the right strings from his end. network, network, the places you go on leave, vacation, liberty.. folks you know outside of the gates.. ask around. get to know the locality and get a resume together. i'll hire a vet over anybody else, any day of the week.
