| I'm gearing up to take the AFAST with my ROTC unit before I go to camp this summer. I do have one of the AFAST study books. Any other hints/tips/study resources that you guys who have some experience in this have? Thanks. |

I scored a 150 on the AFAST. This is what I did to study:
Read "Principles of Helicopter Flight" cover to cover. Repeat. Study it like its the bible. Amazon has it Memorize the complex movement key before you take the test. You will have just enough time to complete all of the section before time runs out. Here is the key: Download This This is a good reference too Download Read the Army parts. That is where the key is for the complex movement section. Good Luck. You only need a 90, but you need above a 110 nowadays. Try to max it. My buddy got a 162 on it. And I thought I got a good score
Oh, this is free: FAA Rotorcraft Flying Handbook Memorize it. |
