Just saw that Gen. Patreus has revamped the ROE for Afghanistan and made them even stricter.
I dont know what to say, i thought the guy was goin to help us recharge our effort and get this under control. I feel especially bad for the guys on the ground.
I fight to win.....but I guess not in Afghanistan.

I think they tried these tactics in a place called Vietnam a few years back.

ETA....I'm in Iraq and its bad the ROE that it.

I hated the Roe in irag.... yes irag.... Shooting warning shots, flares etc... I was always taught, "NO warning shots, only shoot to kill. Its hard to fight when you have your hands tied....

theyre gonna bumblefuck with afghanistan thinking its iraq and get a lot of people killed at first. ithen tll either work and youll start to see stabilization or the populace will just attack harder.

its not war, its an occupation.
