Hello,
The reason I ask this is, I understand that when your a LEO you undergo training and receive certifications to do your job,and if I understand correctly you must have certin certification papers to be a LEO. My question is...can these certification papers be lost, and if you loose them how hard is it to get them back? |
| In Mississippi, your certification certificate is sent by the Board Of Minimum Standards directly to your department and returned to them upon your leaving that dept. An individual can be a leo for 2 years here without having a certification certificate. After that they have to be academy trained/graduated. The situation above should be easily rectified by contacting that states minimum standards board and reporting the situation. |

He was covicted of a DWI, hit&run, and assult all together, was fired and then re-hired by another sherriff and has been on duty without his certification. whos at fault here? and will they be in trouble? here, that's firing and jail. My agency has no sense of humor nor should it. |
