I have Recently applied for the Indiana State Police, and i am involved in the acedemy selection process. I have my oral interview coming up, and i am just wondering if any of you can tell me what to expect as far as some questions they may ask me. Also If i am selected i will enter the Indiana State Police 68th Acedemy and was hoping for some insight on how to complete that successfully. Also what is a decent score for the written test? Well Thank you all for reading.. steyr13 |
| Don't know about the score, but what the previous poster said about being the gray man is 100% correct. On your interview they will probably ask you a few questions that they know you do not know the answer to. DO NOT TRY TO B.S. them, they will know, the rest answer with complete truth. |

Before the interview, a department representative will come out and speak with you and give you some instructions on what to do procedurally for the interview. The oral interview is the hardest part. You will walk into a room with numerous troopers, some command members at tables in front of you. There will be a chair in the middle of the room that you sit in, facing the panel. So, for starters, wear a suit! I have heard lately that some people are coming into the interviews in their work clothes and dressed just plain nasty. Walk into the room, sit down in the chair, sitting up with both feet on the floor and your hands on your legs. Speak plainly when asked a question and look at members of the panel as you are giving your answer. Be sure to make eye contact with them! It is a structured oral interview, meaning that every applicant is asked the same questions. As far as what the questions are, I really don't know because it has been too long since I have been through it and I would not be able to tell you anyway. But, there may be two part questions, just make sure that you answer both parts. If you forget the second part of the question or any part of the questions at all, don't be afraid to ask them to repeat it. Good luck!! |
Yeah, but unfornately not all 150 will hit the road! How many will make it and graduate? 95? |
There is no doubt that probably 20-30 will drop out. But I also heard that however many drop out, they are going to add that many spots to the next class. That's what I heard anyway. |
