Yesterday Sgt. Jon Brough, Belleville Illinois Police Department, was shot in the line of duty in the face attempting to serve a warrant on an individual that was wanted in connection of a double homicide. www.ksdk.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=107293 At the moment, he is in critical condition, at SLU hospital in St. Louis. The suspect had shot his soon to be ex-in-laws in Shiloh Illinois, then fled. Later it was reported that he was in Edwardsville Illinois, which he had confronted his sister in-law, but the police had been contacted and he fled. He later showed up in Belleville Illinois, and story above tells the rest. |
