We got a set a few months ago to put on our heavy rescue. They sure make things a helluva lot easier and safer. Got the evolution saw too. Defintiley cool you can take the roof off a car in 20 sec. Cuts through glass and pillars like butter.

We got a complete set of the Res-Q 42 jacks at our training center and we spent about 4 hours the other day playing with them. They are incredible! We are going to get 2 more sets for each of our ladders. We were able to stabilize a car on its passernger side in 1:40 and the car would not move. We were throwing shoulder charges into it and hitting it with the sledge, no movement.

Our trustees won't buy them.

They wanted me to go get the support jacks like you use in the basement on a creaking joist....

That sux. I take it they are not the ones that are gonna use them. It always seems to work out like that.

We use highlift jacks, chains, cribbing/wedges and a prayer to God for vehicles on their side....I've only seen one vehicle in this manner in 7 years.

PVFD304 You've seen our method of stabilization - long 4x6 timbers, chains, come-a-longs, etc. We are definitely planning to get a set of tripod/struts, probably Paratechs, but we have to pay for some other equipment first. I'd love to come down and take a look sometime though!
