I'm moving out to Portland OR this summer for work. I've been interested in being an LEO and I see that the Portland police and Multnomah County Sheriff's office both have a reserve program.

Anyone have any experience with these two groups and/or their reserve programs?

Any help would be great... thanks

Portland PD is extremely politically correct.  I would avoid them.

Some good guys/gals there, but the city (gov't and citizens) are way liberal.

MCSO is a very small agency, but a good one.  Also very politically correct.  Used to have reserves.  Not sure if they still do.

thanks for the info  -

Any thoughts about MCSO being a small agency as compared to Portland PD? Would I lose out in any way?
