Hello, my question involves the Form 4.   I need some advice for my attempt to get the Chief of Police sign off so I can get  a suppressor.  I am hardly around law enforcement officers so I am not sure what to expect.  I figured this would be a great place to gain insight, and maybe get a few suggestions as how to convey the my Chief of ploice that I am a sensible, law-abiding citizen who can be trusted with a suppressor whose sole use is keep my hearing.  If there are any suggestions, as what to or not to say, and the like would greatly be appreciated.  Have a great day guys.

It will be up to the CLEO and the way he handles his business.
I heard this once and it is a good rule of thumb is:
"In God we trust, all others are checked through NCIC."

What city are you in? Another option is the Sheriff of the county in which you reside.
